"After many years in California where I worked, studied and taught fine arts both at California College of Arts and Crafts and in my studio I have moved to these beautiful rolling hills in southern Wisconsin. The Village of Spring Green is becoming a Mecca for artists, musicians, actors, architects and literary folk. The atmosphere is so very conducive to my working with inspiration and peacefulness in this spacious studio, part of a grand old Wisconsin barn.
My heart goes out to us, happy, sad, puzzled, outrageous, loving and beautiful people. I consider it a privilege to do portraits for people, in sculpture or oil painting or various drawing techniques. I consider that my landscapes are hymns to the earth which sustains us all in bounty and in spirit. Masks we use to reveal, disguise, and show universal truths.
